熨燙溫度是影響熨燙效果的主要因素。如果熨燙溫度過高，超過面料允許受熱溫度，面料易燙黃、燙焦、變形，甚至融化掉；熨燙溫度過低，雖不損傷面料，但達不到熨燙效果。目前，酒店或者洗衣機構大多使用的洗衣設備都是自動化、多功能化的機器，它的整個工作步驟都是程序化的，對于熨燙來說，只要根據不同的面料在平燙機上設置溫度就可以了。

需要注意的是，使用設備的人員一定要清楚的了解布草的面料及適合的熨燙溫度，一旦設置錯了，不僅達不到熨燙效果，而且溫度太高傷害織物，縮短使用壽命。

熨燙過程中的潤濕十分重要。其主要作用就是使水分子進入纖維內部分子之間，增大分子間距離并對分子鏈之間的運動起到潤滑作用，使纖維膨脹伸縮，變得柔軟且易于變形，從而進一步改變纖維特征，給熨燙加工提供變形或定型的條件。但濕度應控制在一定范圍內，過濕或過干都不利于布草平整度。

在熨燙中壓力也是必不可少的條件。壓力可以改變物體的形狀和大小，面料也是如此。只有在一定的壓力作用下，同時施以一定的溫度和適當的濕度，才能使織物按要求來定型。

Pressure is also an essential condition in ironing. Pressure can change the shape and size of an object, and the same applies to fabrics. Only under a certain pressure, at the same time applying a certain temperature and appropriate humidity, can the fabric be shaped as required.

熨燙壓力大小要根據材料、款式、部位而定。如真絲、人造棉等材料，用力不能太重，否則會使纖維倒伏而產生極光，而全棉織物熨燙壓力就略高，以利于布草平整的持久。

四、時間

熨燙操作的時間長短，取決于以上3個基礎條件的綜合作用。一般情況下，如果面料相同，整燙的溫度高，熨燙的時間就相對較短，反之，時間較長；面料的濕度越大，熨燙的時間就越長，壓力大一些，熨燙的時間就會短一些。

只有在溫度、濕度、壓力等3個基本條件運用適當的情況下，掌控適當的熨燙時間，才能使服裝達到較好的定型效果。
